Cerebral palsy (CP) is a general term describing a group of disorders that hinder
body movements as a result of brain damage in early life. Statistics: Around 764,000 children and adults in America
manifest at least one symptom of this condition. It is estimated that about 8,000 infants are born with cerebral palsy each
year and around 1,200-1,500 preschoolers acquire cerebral palsy annually. Overall, this condition affects as many as two to
three people out of every thousand per year, making it a major problem in our world (What is Cerebral Palsy, United).
